Honey Bee

Photobucket

It's a little known fact that there is a honey bee shortage in the United States. Farmers need the bees to pollinate their crops. The House Appropriations Committee approved $10 million for bee research to find out why there a so few bees. Knowing this it was great to see a little honey bee hard at work gathering pollen at the Butterfly Garden in Memorial Park in Nyack, NY.

I'm sure one of the reasons is draught. No flowers no bees.
And people do swat at them. :|
